About me

Postdoctoral research Fellow at Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, Arnaud Iradukunda is both a Medical Doctor from Kamenge Teaching Hospital, University of Burundi and a Statistician from Lake Tanganyika University. He is also a UNESCO’s certified in Bioethics for Research and Human rights from Haifa University.

Over the past five years, M. Arnaud worked with national, regional and international organizations such as  Burundi  Ministry of Health , World Health Organization, Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (United Kingdom, as Student ambassador), Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) of Washington University (USA, as Global Burden Disease Network collaborator) , the Federation of African Medical Student Association (Nigeria, Stand Committee on Health and Environment, as country officer), the International Journal of Medical Student (USA, as country Ambassador), and reviewer in African Health Sciences journal , Journal of Life and Environmental Sciences and BMC Infectious Diseases of Poverty Journals.

On Head of ARNECH Research and Consulting Office, a research center based in Burundi , M. Arnaud is highly resourceful and goal-driven statistician with key interests in Clinical research, Decision and Implementation Science , Data Science for Diseases Modelling, System Thinking and  dynamics Modelling, Demographic and  Health Survey  data analysis (USAID) , Designing of effective M&E system (World Bank)  and developing tools for routine data collection, data analysis, data visualization and projection using varied regressions to calculate incremental effect of projects interventions on targeted population.

He successfully designed   and led several community and clinical epidemiological studies (PubMed) and worked various research  Neglected Tropical Diseases Research projects in East African Community and Greats Lakes Regions in collaboration with the New Mexico University.He also worked as capacity builder of local NGOs working in Health sector in collaboration with Burundi Government, Care International, Action aid and European Union.

As early career researcher, Mr. Arnaud is author of publications and has been invited and participated physically and virtually in regional and International conferences as poster and/or Oral Presenter.
